In 2018, Terry was privileged to have a solo show at The Foxlowe Art Centre, Leek, and was selected for the Arts Keele Three Counties Open Art Exhibition, Burslem, in 2019 and 2022.
​
In 2020 he created the Bottle Oven Art Club which was established during lockdown as a one-off online exhibition of artworks celebrating the culture and heritage of the bottle ovens and kilns of the Potteries. In 2021 Terry was shortlisted for the Museums and Heritage Award 2021 for his voluntary work in establishing the Art Club.

In 2022, two of his works were selected for the Brampton Museum and Art Gallery Open Art Exhibition in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Also in 2022, Terry together with his wife, Pam, collaborated with Foley Pottery, Stoke-on-Trent, to create a small range of decorated fine bone china mugs. In 2023 three of his paintings were accepted for the Staffordshire Moorlands Open Art Exhibition at the, Nicholson Gallery, Leek, and in 2024 he exhibited at Foxlowe Open Art Exhibition and Brampton Open Art Exhibition.
